Yes...It is true. We had one of our ice storms and the trees outside my back porch were covered in ice crystals.

I was bored today. So I started fooling around with Google Earth. I had a difficult time trying to find Arlyn's home village of Bolusao in Eastern Samar, Philippines. After an hour of trying to locate it visually, I finally found Bolusao and the neighboring town of Balangiga. Here are their coordinates for future reference.

Bored again.

Checklist

By now, the decision for Arlyn and I to move to McCloud, CA was decided. It was merely a question of logistics of how to move our furniture and truck to McCloud. To make things more challenging, Elyse and Amber were to be with us for the month of July. We decided to drive the Envoy to McCloud with the girls, stay in McCloud for a couple of weeks, then fly back to Dallas to complete the packing of a U-Haul truck. Once the girls were returned to their mother, Arlyn and I would, once again, drive back to McCloud.

The first day was a short distance. It was from Frisco, TX to Amarillo, TX.

The second day was much more. It was from Amarillo, TX to Mojave, CA.

The third day was more manageable. It was from Mojave, CA to McCloud, CA.

While in McCloud, Amber celebrated her 8th birthday. Guests from around McCloud came by to wish Amber a happy birthday.

For Arlyn's birthday, I purchased two tickets to see Willie Revillame in Wowowee in South Lake Tahoe.

It was a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Arlyn and I have now been living in McCloud, CA for two months and we had not been to the Mt. Shasta Ski Park yet. Now...granted...it is only October, and snow does not typically start falling until December, but we still took the short drive to the park to see the preparations being made for the new ski season. Needless to say, there was no snow.

Since my work was taking me to San Francisco every week, I took Arlyn with me for a week. Arlyn took the opportunity to meet up with Rose Neely to do some shopping in Union Square.
